Ameya Ahir is an Engineering Product Manager in Cisco’s Enterprise Wireless organization, where he has spent the last several years helping shape the future of enterprise wireless networking. Since joining Cisco in 2017, he has contributed across wireless assurance, release planning, unified licensing and wireless security, working at the intersection of customer needs, platform strategy, and large-scale enterprise networking. His current work is focused on strengthening the resilience and security of next-generation wireless infrastructure, including initiatives related to Cisco’s resilient infrastructure strategy and the adoption of post-quantum cryptography within enterprise wireless environments. He is passionate about building secure, scalable, and operationally efficient wireless solutions that prepare customers for the evolving security landscape. Ameya earned his master’s degree from Syracuse University, specializing in wireless networks, and has built his career around advancing technologies that power modern enterprise connectivity. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and outdoor activities, though these days much of his time is spent chasing new adventures with his energetic three-year-old son.
